The sensational discovery of a Dup Negative and a positive copy in 16mm in Buenos Aires in 2008 now allows to almost completely reconstruct the original version of METROPOLIS which was considered to be lost for over eight decades. The picture shows the 16mm copy that was presented on July 6 in the Deutsches Filmhaus (Wiesbaden).
